Read Paul Krugman on Charles Murray’s New Book

Filed under: Racism — millerlf @ 4:33 pm

Charles Murray does it again. His new book, “Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010,” blames the traditional working-class family for the widening gap between the rich and everybody else.

Murray is the author of” the Bell Curve: Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life” which attributes IQ scores as the determining factor in determining  social and class status. He also argued that IQ differences are genetic.

  1. Great piece by Krugman, thanks for highlighting it. You may enjoy my blog, Rhymes and Reasons. It’s a series of interviews with hip-hop heads who discuss their lives in the context of a few songs that matter to them. Tends to focus on issues of racism, white privilege, sexism, sexual violence, etc. Please take a look.
