Cow to Serve Milk to Protest Darling Cuts to School Nurse

MPS Kids without Access to School Nurses Will Have to Avoid Getting Sick

Milwaukee:  At a media event outside an MPS school in Alberta Darling’s Senate district, Citizen Action’s got healthcare? cow will serve milk to protest the reduction in school nurses forced by the state budget Senator Darling pushed through the Legislature.  Because of Darling’s slashing cuts to school funding, there will be 1 nurse for every 1,300 students in MPS.  The best option MPS kids who can’t see a nurse will be to not to get sick!  Medicaid cuts supported by Darling will make the situation even worse.

The Citizen Action’s got healthcare? cow will be joined by “Joe Camel” who will be on hand to thank Senator Darling for inserting an amendment into the state budget which makes it easier to promote candy-like tobacco products to kids.  Darling’s action has sparked outrage from health advocates.
