End the Republican Tyranny: Rally to Recall Alberta Darling!
Please share with your colleagues what Darling said yesterday about the court ruling. It’s one more reason to attend the “Give Sen. Darling a Pink Slip” rally tomorrow.
Yesterday, in response to the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s ruling to reinstate Walker’s anti-worker, anti-collective bargaining legislation State Sen. Alberta Darling called it was “a day of victory, a day for the people.”
She went on to personally lash out at Dane Count District Court Judge Maryann Sumi who had ruled that the actions of the Republicans had violated the state’s open meetings law.
Darling was quoted in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as saying: “She [Sumi] was wrong, She was arrogant and stepped all over the people of Wisconsin.” Darling went on to give this rather twisted view of recent Wisconsin history: “You think of all the chaos and discord and acrimony that’s gone on in this Capitol as the result of her [Sumi’s] decision and just doing what she wanted, which she had no cause, no basis, no rule of law, She just did what she wanted for political reasons. To me, it was despicable.”
