Today’s lead article in the Journal Sentinel glorified Scott Walker’s right-wing takeover of Wisconsin state government while mis-reporting inauguration events.
The article states:
Outside (the Inauguration), dozens of protesters walked around the Capitol waving placards and shouting, “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Scott Walker has got to go.”
The protesters, representing the Milwaukee Labor Council and other groups, distributed orange ribbons to symbolize the need for better jobs in Milwaukee.
I was at the inauguration along with over 400 people, not “dozens”, standing in front of the state capitol’s eight entrances. To enter the capitol building, at all of its entrances, one had to walk through a crowd of unemployed citizenry, unionists and activists.
So the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has to decide at what point they will start reporting the truth about this movement, a movement of Wisconsin workers and activists that is not going away.
